Block the Empire: October 28 Anti-Imperialist Contingent!

The BLOCK THE EMPIRE anti-imperialist contingent marched through the streets of downtown Montreal on October 28, as part of a pan-Canadian day of protest against the presence of Canadian troops in Afghanistan.

Despite the heavy rain, at least 500 people joined the BLOCK THE EMPIRE Anti-Imperialist Contingent, starting in Parc Norman Bethune and ending at the Complexe Guy-Favreau federal government buildings.

We marched in opposition to war at home and abroad, and against US/Canadian imperialism.
